    Exhibiting new work at Symondsbury

    Since coming to Devon I have sought open exhibitions to show my work. This recent exhibition in August was called Natural Forms. It consisted of a framed acrylic sketch and also a mixed media relief called 'Shielding'. (Top one of the three white pieces) Being an artist is a job wih many roles, delivery person, marketeer, promoter, accountant, purshaser, product manager, sales co-ordinator etc etc. And then of course there is making the work. It is lovely to see the final presented artwork on show.

    Setting up a show

    My interim show in Margaret Sreet in 2015 consisted of two pieces of work to do with female experience and female empowerment. This is an image taken after setting up the show prior to the opening, and shows my sculpture 'Inner light' in the background.

    For my recent Open studio - I took the time to produce new works, often I find the opportunity to show my ideas produces the chance to find the energy for an extra piece or two, - to give the audience something more.
