  • Visual Symphony: Inside the Creation of "Amadeus"

This video offers an intimate, close-up look into my creative process as I bring to life a subject deeply inspired by the film Amadeus and the timeless spirit of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Using bold, expressive washes and sharp textures of Japanese ink, I wanted to map the emotional highs and lows of the narrative. Watching the ink spread and breathe on the paper reveals the choreography behind the artwork, transforming a legendary Western musical legacy into a modern, minimalist monochrome expression.

Behind the Scenes: TV Tokyo Documenting my Art in Rome

Behind the Scenes: TV Tokyo Documenting my Art in Rome

An authentic look behind my creative process. This is a still from the TV Tokyo documentary filmed in 2016 right inside my studio in Rome. Before hosting me in Japan to experience their ancient heritage, the producers wanted to capture how a contemporary Western artist integrates the sacred, meditative discipline of ink wash painting into her European life. This image stands as a powerful testament to the cross-cultural dialogue that defines my identity as an artist: bringing the profound soul and quiet minimalism of Eastern monochrome art into the vibrant heart of Rome.

Honoring Tradition: My 2016 Journey to Echizen, Japan

Honoring Tradition: My 2016 Journey to Echizen, Japan

As seen in this photo, my commitment to traditional Japanese ink painting is rooted in direct study and authentic experiences. This image is a still from a 2016 Japanese documentary by TV Tokyo, where I was invited to experience the heart of local craftsmanship. I am pictured painting on sacred mulberry paper inside a traditional Edo-period house in Echizen, hosted by a family whose lineage has preserved ancient papermaking for centuries. This immersive connection with the raw materials and history profoundly shaped my contemporary artistic vision, giving me a deep, physical understanding of monochrome art that guides my brush to this day.
