I have discovered wonderful works of art by Joseph Lynch on Artfinder.com! The piece, Cotton Grass on the Black Mountain has beautiful color hues and brush strokes that build the composition to a feeling of sererinity and vastness of time. The piece arrived packed very well and arrived sooner than I expected coming from the U.K. I appreciate the opportunity to have a website that I can view and purchase such fantastic works of art from around the world.

A painting of beautiful contrasts. The dark, shadowy tree is exquisitely detailed and is surrounded by the lovely, brighter colours of the grass and flowers. Beyond that is a sunny meadow which gives a real lift to the scene. There's a depth to this painting which makes me feel I could just walk into it and be part of it. My second purchase from this artist and I'm very pleased with it.

Mr. Joseph Lynch has been exceptionally responsive to my (jean's) numerous questions about acrylic paintings given that his would have been our first acquisitions that have not been painted with oils. Even though we are diehard oil enthusiasts, Joseph's work is so lovely that we decided to order two of his exquisite paintings medium regardless! He was willing to add several coats of glossy varnish and additional paint via an impasto technique in responding to our request for "more depth and movement" in his lovely works. We couldn't have been more pleased with Mr. Lynch's exceptional response to our needs as prospective patrons. His prompt replies to numerous questions about the aesthetics of his art medium, his willingness to expend additional hours' worth of his talents on our behalf, and his courteous and generous demeanor made our experience with Artfinder well worth the effort. Unfortunately, his works arrived, and we just couldn't reconcile their acrylic medium with our own mindset about oil. But the return process was also easier than we'd anticipated. Moreover, if any of Joseph's paintings were to happen in oil, we'd purchase them without hesitating.

The whole experience of using Artfinder was excellent, the only problem I had was the colour of the art work was not "true" no fault of anyone's just technology!!

Many thanks for your review ,I do try to get the colours on the site as close as possible to the original ,ref reviews left on several other paintings sold,however I do find brightness settings on different pcs and tablets can have an effect on the image verses reality I can only think that was what happened here :( ,but I am glad to hear your overall experience was excellent ,hopefully I may produce a work sometime in the future that may be of interest. Packaging very flimsey. Large gash in cardboard box, small indentation on picture but otherwise a great painting.

Hi Valerie, Sorry to hear there was a problem with the packaging on your order ,I can only think it has received some rough treatment on its way to you ,I always use parcel force 48 hr delivery as up until now I have had excellent service :( the purpose made posting boxes have not let me down before but I will try to source some more heavy duty boxes in future , If you see any other of my paintings that you like I will arrange a 50% discount, hopefully that may make up in some way for the small dent , Thanks again Joe
