The two small items were good and well packed. However to be charged £60 postage from mainland Spain was not right in my opinion. I sell now and then on eBay and always charge correct postage. You should not be profiteering from your customers charging excessive postage. Jayne did include some notecards but I would have preferred to have paid either free or correct postage costs. Because the items were in sale should not have made any difference.

Dear Julie, firstly thank you for taking the time to write a review. However I am very disappointed and strongly feel that the rating and comments are unfounded. So I would like to take this opportunity to respond, and it is a long response, but it is very important to me that future buyers can see that I care very much about customer satisfaction and care. You have scored 'seller communication' with two stars. You contacted me at 4.52pm on January 24, 2016 and I responded at 5.06pm on the same day. You contacted me again at 5.25pm and I responded at 5.42pm again the same day. I received your order on January 24th and dispatched your order January 25th. I contacted you to tell you that the order had been despatched and gave you a tracking number and an anticipated delivery date. I could not have done any more to respond and dispatch any quicker and pride myself in prompt and professional communication and business transaction. Therefore it is disappointing to see that you have scored 'seller communication' so low. You have also scored 'delivery and packaging' with two stars. I dispatched your order the day after receiving it and could not have done this any quicker. I spent two hours carefully packaging to ensure that the artwork arrived with you in the excellent condition it left me. This involved carefully placing bubblewrap over the flat ceramic, then cardboard cut to size to protect the artwork, mount and front of frame. More bubblewrap protected the whole item which I then placed into padded envelopes. These were then placed inside a suitably sized tough cardboard box and surrounded with more bubblewrap and finally securely wrapped in brown paper with double wide, strong packing tape, printed address labels and fragile labels. So as you say yourself in your customer comments they were 'well packed'. Again I could not have done any more to protect the work and as a result you received two pieces of work in excellent condition. You have scored 'seller accuracy' with three stars. There are ten good photographs of the work listed, including close ups, plus the dimensions and a full description. Again it would be hard to be any more accurate than I have endeavoured to be. I also give further information and show photographs regarding packaging, certificates of authenticity etc in the 'me at work' section. In response to your customer comments regarding postage. We communicated regarding this point and I offered to enclose a selection of my professionally printed greetings cards to which your response was 'It would be a lovely gesture from you to include your greeting cards and I look forward very much to receiving them.' I took this to be your acceptance of a satisfactory outcome to your query and if it was not then I really wish you had said so at the time rather than score me so low because I really do pride myself in customer satisfaction and I wanted you to be happy with the transaction. I enclosed three packs of 5 note-lets to the value of £15, four large cards to the value of £8 and a small keyring to the value of £2 which I felt was a more than generous £25 in kind. As much as it would be lovely to be able to offer free postage, after the sale reduction price, framing costs, packaging costs and postage there would be no profit in the sale at all and that would totally devalue me as an artist and my work. I really am sad about your low scores and hope that based on the information above that you might reconsider the accuracy of them. I hope that you will enjoy Movement 1 and Movement 2 Julie and many thanks again for choosing my work. Kind regards Jayne

I love this abstract. For me, it depicts the triumph of the human spirit breaking free from adversity ("Through to Sun"). It is beautifully balanced and gets better the closer one looks at it (revealing more and more detail which integrates with the theme)

Thank so much for such a positive and perceptive review. I was really moved to read that you could 'see' so much in my work and so accurately interpreted. To an artist it means more than anything to connect with another human being through our work. I hope you will enjoy 'Through to Sun' for many years to come. Kindest regards. Jayne
