    Welcome to my page!

    I'm Janneke Marianne Kramer. Born and raised in a small town, Sluis, in the Netherlands nearby the Northsea and very close the border of Belgium. Since 2011 moved to also another small town Oostburg. I have been graduated at Art School Knokke (Belgium) and had an extra 3 year-specialisation (master/specialty) in geometric abstraction at Art School Eeklo (Belgium).

    After years of experimenting with figurative painting, I obtained the drive to make more abstract works. This occurred because of the development of the creative process within me. My inspiration came out of 'landscapes' and then translated the landscapes into more abstract images. With different shapes, colours, texture, lines and rhythms I was able to create a whole different imagery and mindset: "less is more". These pieces were made on board and canvas with acrylic paint. My main area of expertise is geometric abstract art.
