    Plein Air Painting at Windsor Castle

    I was one of the Artists accepted to do open air painting in the private gardens at Windsor Castle in July 2017. It was a truly wonderful experience - or would have been apart from the good old British weather, which decided to deluge more and more as they day went on! I stuck it out till literally everything was soaking and eventually had to flee. Very happy to have done it though, here I am - before the final storm - painting one of the towers from HM's private and beautiful Moat Garden.

    Outdoor Mural in Progress

    This was the second of a series of murals I was commissioned to paint for a Shetland Pony stud farm in Sussex. The work was fun but extremely distracting as many small ponies were in the field behind me and I spent a good portion of my working day chatting to them instead! Here I am building the first layers in acrylic and outdoor paints. The final was finished with a coat of yacht varnish as it had to survive English weather!
