There are so many of Jan's paintings I could happily buy if I had the right setting. There was a particular spot I had in mind for this picture and the colours and hues work really well whilst putting me in mind of country walks and weekend retreats every time I see it! Before buying this picture, I clicked onto a photograph of it on a wall......which looked a similar colour to that in my living room. That is what decided me!
It looks great on that wall........it really helps seeing a photo of a painting in situ....one gets the proportion and the colours into your head.
