    Thought I'd better photograph this before applying retouch varnish, in case it's too glossy afterwards. Also, I'm pretty sure there should be glazes over the scumbling, but I'll try that on a larger canvas.

    Typically, the best light seems to be in my kitchen! So the easel is set up here. En plein air work is out and about, and watercolours tend to be in my home office where I can clear a space to work flat.
