    Hello beautiful people! Wherever you are I hope you are all staying well. Glad to be back to my 1st blog post of March & greetings from my studio to you. Original artwork medium: Artist Acrylic on canvas. Affirmation – The Sun shines on you, have faith in a sunny place. I have this beautiful camellia tree in my front yard which blooms gloriously from every Autumn till Winter. Flowers always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers. The glossy leaves add shiny-looking foliage with sunlight, along with the gorgeous red flowers and buds, it is captivating. Generally, camellia flowers symbolize love, affection, and admiration. Red camellias symbolize love, passion, and deep desire. The Yuletide Camellia is evergreen, meaning that the leaves stay on the plant all year round. This heat-loving, drought-tolerant Camellia thrives in hot weather conditions, needs minimal watering and can handle long periods with little to no rain. I present you these gorgeous camellias, that bloom gloriously just for you, every day, every season. It has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom of this beautiful camellia tree every year, this is my 3rd depiction and the former two had found forever home, now you are looking at my latest interpretation of my favourite camellia tree. This artwork is painted during the lockdown in 2020, a special isolation diary that I wrote with my paint brushes. That is why I name this artwork – Sunny Days Ahead – to remind us that the bright future is ahead of us if we hang on to hope.     Hello everyone ! Wherever you are, I hope you are all well, healthy and happy. I am back for new blog posts of Feb 2023! My latest artwork is currently on show - 10–27 FEB 2023 VAS SUMMER EXHIBITION at The Victorian Artists Society. {A Lifetime Companion – White Lilies } By HSIN LIN Artist Acrylic on canvas. The artwork painted extends to all Side panels. 75 (W) x 75 cm (H) Affirmation: You are my home and love all at once, forever and always. White lilies symbolise purity, virtue, commitment and rebirth, and are often used at weddings. They can also represent a rejuvenation of the soul. In this particular artwork, those subtle, tiny fallen pollen on those silky soft petals, leaf veins and the texture of flower buds are definitely my favourite details. It is such a joy to paint, to study the lights and shades on these gorgeous blossoms. A journey that I have enjoyed so much. It’s a coincidence that I ended up having two lilies in this artwork, which reminds me of our relationship with ourselves, with others and with the world. The flower always blooms in its own time without competing with other flowers. May we all bloom in our time in the best season. Hope you enjoy this artwork of mine.     Hello friends, what's your goal for 2023? The new year is a wonderful time for a new goal, full of promise and opportunity. Years ago, I made my goal as I wanted to paint better and bigger. With some of the projects that I've been working on for 2022 wrapping up, this extra-large artwork counts as a breakthrough in my artist's career with no doubt. Meanwhiles, it is also the largest artwork that I have ever painted. Not to mention how much I love the process as well as the outcome. Are you happen to look for a large statement piece for a special place in your home, office or even holiday house, this might be the one to attract every guest's attention! I present you the latest also the largest artwork fresh off my studio- A Plentiful Harvest - Passion Flower and Fruit By HSIN LIN 7/12/2022 Acrylic on triple primed gesso stretched gallery-wrapped canvas. The sides are painted Black. Ready to hang, D rings and wire attached at the back in gallery standard. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Sealed with clear varnish. 152.4cm (W) x 121.9cm (H) x 3.83cm (D) Affirmation: What pleases us shapes our harvest. To experience the changing of the seasons and to present moments, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom in my surrounding during its flowering season. This artwork is inspired by the Passion Vine that I spotted in my neighbourhood close to my art studio. I was fascinated by those interesting fringed petals and splendorous tendrils; the white petals shine bright like precious gems under the sunshine. Fun Fact about these unusual blossoms - Passion Flower Essence is used to purify and strengthen one’s connection to unconditional love even nowadays. A Truly Special and Symbolic Gift- Passion Flower, was named by Roman Catholic priests in the 15th and 16th centuries for the Passion of Jesus Christ. There were old sayings that the flower's five petals and five-petallike sepals represented the 10 faithful apostles. The circle of filaments in the centre of the bloomsome stands for the Crown of Thorns. Flowers always bloom in their own time without competing with other flowers.     Hey 😊Can I tell you a story? So, the project is delivered in full this week so that I can finally reveal what I’ve been working on for the past 10 months. Not gonna lie, the original artwork took me almost 1 year to paint. Full video can be view in the post below. If you live around the area, you may already saw our new and vibrant public art display in the park. Blossoms of Life - The Eucalyptus Flower For Everyone. A public art project led by visual artist Hsin Lin, collaborate with poet Lauren M. Hancock. The installation is now available to view at Ringwood Lake Park, Melbourne, Australia.
