  • THE HARBORNE HOSPITAL

    THE HARBORNE HOSPITAL

These delicate window graphics provide exquisite light boxes across 5 floors of a newly built hospital in Birmingham. Each one constantly changing with the light and the sky. At night they are lit from the inside providing artwork for passers by, by day they provide privacy, points of interest and serene foliage for those using the spaces. These are located across the majority of the windows - in the patient bedrooms, consultation, treatment rooms and in the staff rest areas and offices. The designs reflect local buildings and architecture as well as healing plants and local foliage. The colour flows around the floors and each one has it's own colour and foliage identity to help with way finding in such a uniform space. Some areas are completely private while others allow the viewer to either peep through intentional areas or see the changing skyline above the architectural landscape design.
