    My 4 season plein air project

    My 4 season plein air project

    This is my year long project, 3/4th done. It is a study of the changes in light and colors on the same location, during the seasons. It is also a study of my own durability. Which season gives me more patience to explore, add details, during different temperatures. I always thought it was the dark and cold season that makes me tired and depressed. But from these studies I see it is the prospect of the dark times (autumn) that does that. In the winter scene I am more willing to spend time outside, perhaps because of the promise of spring being around the corner. One of the interesting aspects is that the colder it gets, the closer I move to the main part of the painting location.
