About Heather Matthews
Biography
I have a passion for art and I am inspired by the natural world. I find it so rewarding to start with a blank canvas and transform it into an artwork that can bring something very special and unique into a home or work environment. It becomes part of the owners lives and memories as well as those of their families and friends. I am happy that my art has frequently been chosen by people to give as special gifts to their loved ones to celebrate their milestone birthdays and for other celebrations.
I lived in Germany for 12 years which I loved and there I became a full time artist. I was a part of the International community and people from around the world bought my paintings to take home with them.
I paint in oils, watercolour, acrylics and mixed media. I love the variety of special qualities that each one of those mediums can bring to a painting.
I prefer to use oil paints for seascapes, landscapes and still life paintings and I usually choose acrylics for painting abstracts.
My paintings and detailed prints can be found in private collections across America, Canada, Singapore, South Africa, the UK as well as many European countries.
