Buying from the UK, I had to pay VAT (however, the value of the attached invoice was less than the amount paid) and reply to the dozen e-mails from the forwarder for customs clearance, attaching various documentation and declarations. Given the recent Brexit, perhaps it would be appropriate to warn the customer of all these inconveniences.

I'm sorry to hear the new customs legislation, complicated by the invoicing issue caused you additional paperwork and VAT/customs tarifs. I will endeavour to warn future customers of potential inconveniences.

After purchasing the painting I got a message from Guy a short time later. The painting was very carefully packaged for overseas shipping and was received in perfect shape even sooner than scheduled. Guy followed up with me to make sure I received the painting undamaged. I've had a great experience.

I made an offer, he countered, I accepted. Communication was insanely fast. Arrived "across the pond" in good shape and relatively quickly considering the times. A string is attached in the middle for hanging purposes. Was a little confused by this at first, because I have just hung things from the top wood frame before, but the string works so much better. The picture actually lies flat against the wall now, not at a slight angle. Do wish there were a few more pictures of the item on the website, but overall, very pleased with the buying process and the artist. This is the second artwork I have purchased from Artfinder, and will probably be purchasing more in the future.

Thank you Sarah, glad you are happy with your painting and the hanging set up (for the record I use wire for heavier pieces). In future I will take your advice and post more pics including close ups and hanging arrangement.
