Sherfield Plein Air open art competition.
A competition on a cold and breezy overcast day in a stunning location, strictly over 3 hours.
Created a large painting using my favourite palette knives on a stretched canvas but nearly froze tucked away in the trees, my shaking hands may have given me the edge to win the completion!
All good fun with some lovely people.
My 1st competition and my 1st win, I never really get around to entering these sort of things.

Biography
Hi, I'm Graeme and work mainly in acrylics using palette knives, large brushes or credit cards; in truth whatever I feel like using at that moment in time. I use lots of energy in producing my paintings and love colour and movement based on a natural urge to create. I like my clients to absorb the paintings, seeing more and more aspects, images and meanings in my work as they evolve over time.
I don't believe as an artist that I should keep producing the same thing over and over again and love the freedom to do what feels right, it's all about feel for me, selecting colours, textures and theme at will from sport to music to dance to wildlife............................
I incorporate various finishes depending on the painting, using varnishes and high gloss resin with striking results.
