About Giulio Giustini

  • Biography

Giulio was born in Italy in 1981, now based in Berlin. He matured as an artist by refusing the traditional and academic teaching approach to art. His self-taught work is a us evolution towards the new, in an environment traditionally linked to the classical approach. His works are developed by assembling of several materials and colors . In his last creations  the artist add an explicit message to the experimentation.

The inability to freeze the time in a specific instant led the artist to stop the deterioriation of the matter by increasing the life of the matter itself. Therefore, his vision led to research dismissed objects, such as fabrics, metals, plastic or wood, old industrial tools, and restore their value by giving them a new purpose.

In this process, the color is instrumental to achieve the renewal. Indeed, the objects are restored to the new meaning by covering them with spray or brush paints and by assembling them together generating a unique mix of “islands of colors”.

The artist spontaneity and purity, probably preserved due to the absence of academic studies, bonds his ideas and his feelings with the ones of the observer.

Hence, the artist is particularly motivated by communicating directly with the observers through clear and simple messages, trying to intrigue even the most skeptical individuals to contemporary art.
