Talking about painting in layers

Talking about painting in layers, in my studio. My paintings are made in layers of translucent paint, so that there is a luminosity, the whits of the linen shines through the layers of colours. Under-painted layers of warm bright colour for example shine through top layers of colder desaturated colour to create the desired final effect.
