About Fiona Phillips

I fell in love with art making due to the influence of an amazing high school art teacher. I have been creating art ever since through times of poverty through raising a young family and will until I die - nothing will stop me because it is in my soul. I have taught studio classes in both high school and university and am divested in art that has a connection between past and present or is related to social conditions. I currently have a show of 50 portraits at Dixie State University in Utah that is bringing awareness to mental illness. My MFA was in Visual Art so, although I am primarily a painter, I also use video and installation when they are appropriate vehicles to expressing a concept. I believe in the power of paint! I believe that my paintings will speak to your customers and together we can achieve something special.
