    This is a piece I am working on for the upcoming HIVE2015 show in Harrogate. I love the colours of the buildings in the old part of Nice, FRANCE, and with the strong sunlight, you get some lovely abstract shadow patterns. I look forward to maybe seeing some of you at the HIVE Art Show.

    Stages of my largest painting to date, a private commission called 'Under the Olive'

    I was commissioned to paint a large painting for a stairwell in a villa in Biot in the South of France. I decided to do a six panels to match the window in the stairwell. As the villa was surrounded by old olive trees, I thought bringing that into the inside space would be a nice feature. A tree alone would have been a little sombre, so I added an weathered old French chair under the tree to give the piece some narrative.
