The pleasure my husband and I have derived from Gradbatch Lane is quite extraordinary and unexpected. I knew we would love it. David is a superb artist - particularly when interpreting the subtleties of light and shade. I want to walk down that lane, linger in the shade, then step out into glorious full sunshine. What I didn't expect is the number of times each day, I find myself being drawn to this painting - usually finding my other half contemplating it also..... The picture was exactly as I expected, in that it was faultlessly and accurately illustrated on AF. Sometimes a picture is not quite as it appears on a tablet/computer sceen. In this case, it was even more pleasing than expected. It was delivered quickly, efficiently packaged and with a charming accompanying letter. I feel proud and privileged to own a David Barber painting. Thank you David, Jacqui & Peter Van Cauwelaert

Thank you Jacqui and Peter. I have to say that I was surprised by how touched I felt when I read your review. Making a painting involves many hours of solitary work and you never quite know how other people are going to react to it, so reading your kind words is very reassuring.
