I love the inherent qualities of water colors, but recently I've discovered the ballpoint pen as my preferred tool for artistic expression. Being close, one can see the fine lines it leaves on the paper, from afar it dissolves into dynamic patches that generate the composition. This image shows me working on a large portrait using a simple blue ballpoint pen to create the artwork.
