Just an impression of how I build up a painting in stages. This shows my painting of Buttermere and Fleetwith Pike in the Lake District in progress. The painting took 23 hours to complete.

Catbells Summit in the Lake District

This is my latest painting, which I've been working on today. I climbed Catbells a month ago at dawn (5am start!), and the light was gorgeous. Now the usual impossible question: is it finished? I think it is almost there, but probably needs a bit more work in the foreground. It's an oil painting, 600mm x 400mm. It will be in my shop soon.
