  • Biography
    Portraits and figures are my passion and I find pleasure in representing people whose character and mood come through their chosen styles of dress. I particularly like colorful costume and/or regalia. The other important aspect of my work is to elicit mood and emotion in my work without the use of disturbing images created to "shock" the viewer to attention. When a client chooses to live with one of my paintings, I want that painting to convey a sense of well being, whether the subject is representational or abstract in nature. Having first began using color in my work through the medium of pastel, I continue to enjoy the practice of using clean, fresh color in my alla prima approach to painting.
