The painting was returned because the photo did not remotely resemble the painting with all the foxing damage and a fold in one corner of it.

You will never allow an original Rembrandt in your flat because it might have some age spots and scratches, dear lover of brand new sparkling art. The photo showed all the imperfections very clearly, I am sorry that you didn't pay attention.
