I absolutely love this drawing! Dispatch and delivery were very quick and Frederic included a lovely personal letter plus a high gloss photo of one of his other works. Will definitely be following this artist so I can add to my collection.

More fine pieces from this exceptional artist, to add to the many artworks of his I already have own. In addition to his considerable technical skill, Frederic Belaubre has a real capacity for conveying emotion in his artworks (this invariably comes out even in his smallest works). There's a full range of human emotions across the different works of his I own, including the more disturbing ones (which often make for interesting artworks). There is sometimes also an almost 'alien' quality to some of the faces, which I also find intriguing (this is the case with one of the artworks here). Always interesting!

My previous reviews of the many works I have bought from this artist show the high opinion I have of him - more fine artworks here! I particularly like the 'capricorn', which at first sight looks like an abstract, but there is a vivid and subtle painting of a hare incorporated into it. The sketch of the sitting man again conveys the serenity behind a number of these male figures I have acquired from Frederic. I commented on my previous review how this contrasts with another style of his, which conveys a very different aspect of the human experience, the archetypal qualities of raw emotion and animalism. Between them you have the Apollonian (as in this sitting figure) and the Dionysian (as in the more primal drawings) aspects of humanity well covered!

More excellent artworks from Frederic - I now have many of his works in my collection, and you can see my previous reviews for my high opinion of his artwork. There is quite often a very vivid almost animalistic quality to some of his works (such as the nude here), which to my mind conveys primaeval human emotion. There's a haunting, almost disturbing (and erotic) quality to it which makes these works highly distinctive. A different side of this artist is shown in the 'Serious' drawing, which conveys a real serenity of the sitting man, in contrast to the animalistic powerful flow of emotion of the nude couple.
