    My studio is small ...as is the house I am in. Cleethorpes has generally small and old houses with a certain atmosphere. I love these "grey" zones in and outside my studio.

    I live and work in an area which is meant to be rough and wild. However, I think that every inspiration stems from your personal experience. Living in places which challenge you sometimes personally is a crucial starting point. I love to be close to the beach and the sea. I enjoy my walks through the streets of Cleethorpes and Grimsby.

    Preparing the blocks

    Printmaking and here handprinted woodcut is a time consuming process which requires heavy labour. Each blocj has to be cleaned with turpentine before I use it. Then the blocks need to evaporate and dry before the colour can be applied.
