    Namma Bengaluru Habba- Bangalore Festival

    Sankey Tank is a beautiful and well maintained lake of Bangalore. Karnataka Tourism Development department organized a festival of performing and fine arts on 20th August. I was selected and allotted a stall in the serene surroundings of the lake. I was overwhelmed by the crowd's appreciation for my art! Though sales were meagre, I was pleasantly surprised to see people appreciating contemporary fine art. Especially children showed a lot interest in the mediums and techniques. Though my country has some of the very best artists to boast of, art appreciation has not yet percolated to the middle-class which still prefer handicrafts for home décor. But brighter days are lying ahead is what I could make out from the reaction of the public to this festival!

    Organ Donation Awareness program

    "Creative Minds" Bangalore, collaborated with Times of India and "Gift Your Organ" for an organ donation awareness drive, where artists came and painted at Mantri Mall spreading the message of organ donation. I participated and besides pledging my organs, contributed two contemporary acrylic paintings, created on the spot to the great cause!
