About Bo Jessen Fogh Laursen

  • Biography
I work at the intersection of technology and traditional sculpture, creating both tech-integrated works and analog, handmade pieces. This outlet on Artfinder is dedicated to my analog sculptures—artworks that emerge as remnants or remedies from my Fluxus-inspired installations. My practice is deeply rooted in material exploration, focusing on transformation, reuse, and the tension between presence and absence. Here, I will be offering real-world objects such as readymades, sculptures in clay, fabric, wood, and mixed media, as well as booklets—each carrying traces of process, time, and reinterpretation. Artfinder also serves as a platform for my ongoing project, EP&W – Exploring Perception and Worth, a research initiative that questions how art is perceived, valued, and contextualized across cultural, emotional, and economic dimensions. At its core, EP&W asks: what defines the worth of art? By working with everyday objects—either handmade, altered, or replicated—I challenge traditional hierarchies of value, exploring the fluid boundaries between art, commodity, and context. Selling these works on Artfinder extends this inquiry beyond institutional settings, engaging directly with audiences and collectors who bring their own perspectives to the conversation. Through this platform, my works find new meaning in different spaces, continuing their evolution beyond the initial act of creation.
