About Antonia Rusu

Figurative art is my main focus. I want to create a synthesis of everything I experience. Realism is a way of maintaining contact with reality. To me, art is about aesthetics, the present moment, time and memory of past events. My purpose is to find beauty and meaning in places that others ignore and to understand the world through the exploration of colour and form. It amazes me how unaware we are of the objects in our surroundings which are both long-lasting and ever-changing. I'm trying to find my voice, constantly discovering new media and subjects.
