    Concentrating Hard.

I combine painting at the easel with laying the canvas flat on the floor. It depends on which stage I am at. I use a lot of thin washes and they are best applied with the surface flat to avoid the paint running too much. I like the canvas to be on the easel when I start to add detail.

    Market stall.

I love taking my work out of the studio and talking to people about what I do. This is a stall I held at a village artisan market here in Lincolnshire. A beautiful summer Sunday, we were very lucky with the weather and a fantastic day was had by all the artists and craftspeople.

Here I am at my exhibition at the wonderful and famous Boston Stump. The church of St.Botolphs has a fabulous exhibition space and I had a wonderful time showing my work in this beautiful building.

This is a picture of me assembling a mini. The mini paintings are little oils on board that I present mounted, ready to be put into a frame. I cut the mounts myself and they fit off the shelf frames that are easily bought on the high street. Minis are a great and affordable way to invest in original art.

This is a picture of me tackling a landscape inspired by a regular walk I take in nearby Vale of Belvoir. I love this stage, when the composition is mapped out and the picture really starts to emerge from the blocks of colour.
