    ART IS MY THERAPY

Ever since our mother died, we've been relying on birds "music" to liven the quietness of our home...

    ART IS MY THERAPY

My mother died last November 2017. When she died, I did not only lost my mother because she was also my best friend. I feel like I lost a huge part of me. I have always enjoyed drawing whenever I'm sad...and lonely. Art have always been my therapy. My brother took this photo (upper part) as I'm working on a female purple finch drawing. He doesn't usually do that...perhaps, it's because I never really "smiled" for a while...

    PACKAGING

    PACKAGING

This is what "Rolled in a tube" generally looks like- Most of my pieces will be delivered rolled in a "G-Type tube", unless otherwise specified, similar to attached photo. I've been using this "high-quality" tube for years to pack and protect my artworks during transportation. So far, since I've sold original artworks internationally (United States, United Kingdom and Australia) I've never encountered a problem using this form of packaging.

    HANDS

    HANDS

I love drawing hands. I realize that most people under estimates the skill, ability, and meaning of drawing hands. I believe there is nothing that feels more real and expressive than showing emotion through hand gestures. The connection you get from audiences who actually relates to it (no matter how rare there are) is amazing. it's like you know each other because you encountered and value the same "seemingly" simple thing as a touch of a hand which are actually one of the important memories in one's life that most people take for granted."

    INTRAMUROS

    INTRAMUROS

Well, this is me "at work" (from my perspective). Basically, I draw to "live". Thus, I always bring a sketchbook everywhere I go. Probably due to my technical background, as of now, I'm enjoying drawing architectural pieces as much as I've enjoyed drawing portraits (I still do) :) This photo was taken at Intramuros Manila where I lived for 5 years when I was in college. I love it because of the blend of history, architecture and art I see- It's like history meets modern era...just like this 19'th century building which now offers fast food for both tourists and locals.
