    This picture was painted according to the myth of ancient Greece "About Icarus and Daedalus". To escape from captivity, Daedalus designed for them both a pair of wings. "Fly beside me,"- Daedalus said, "and fly not too high and not too low." But Icarus flew close to the sun: the wax melted, the wings fell away, and he fell into the sea. The myth became a warning to people, who are intoxicated by success and underestimated the real situation. And at the same time this myth gave the image of a man boldly moving to success.     This portrait was painted during an international Plein Air festival in Chuvashia. Me and my friend Alexey Dmitriev were asked to write a portrait of a little girl in a national costume. Within three days she was brought to our portrait session.She reacted responsibly to her role. She posed very assiduously. The format of work is not large and we decided to write portraits in an academic manner. Just write an impression of the model. My work really liked and became part of the collection The A.A. Kokelya in the Chuvash State University named after I.N. Ulyanov.

    "Anna Petrovna"/oil painting/ portrait

    I painted portrait - resident of the village "Ishaki of Chuvashia". I decided to portray her home. Anna Petrovna reacted to painting the portrait as a holiday. She sat next to her simple and old wooden house in simple but festive clothes, illuminated by the sun immersed in memories. I wanted to document the lively impression of her, so I chose the plein-air-academic manner. I worked three sessions for two hours with the model and additionally painted the entourage from life.
