I still can't work out why this appealed to me - however I'm so pleased I bought it. It's big, bold and draws you in. Framed and hung and looks wonderful. Provokes lots of discussion from everyone who sees it.

I must admit that it would be nice to have had a written word from the artist, but perhaps that is expecting too much. Some of your artists do write a short note when they send their work, and it certainly adds to the experience; I tend to buy another painting when an artist does this as it establishes a link which is good for the buyer. However, I love my painting and Alex Solodov has captured the feel of Sintra, in spite of the fact that he actually lives in Russia.

Dear Christine, thanks for the review! I need just to say that this painting - Sintra Roofs was painted when I have been living in Ericeira near Sintra, so this painting has a real spirit of Sintra. Thanks again, Alex.
