This was a fantastic purchase. Alex is great to communicate with and you can tell he cares deeply about the art he creates and his customers who take part in that shared enjoyment of his art. As someone who enjoys songbirds, I found this painting striking for its initial simplicity, which also imparts an impression on the viewer that is much broader than surface level as well. To me, the positioning and vibrancy of this little bird animate it with joy and curiosity. The color choices in the backdrop add a lot of depth and interest, while also continuing a theme of not limiting the imagination to only one particular bird species or geographical location. I'm glad I discovered this artist and this work of art.
