Slightly disappointed with the paper but the design and finish is great

Hi Thank you for the feedback. I am pleased you like the painting. Not sure why you were disappointed with the paper? It was listed as card which it was, albeit thin card, but definitely not paper. These small works painted on card and sometimes paper are designed to be framed so it should not really matter about the thickness or material of the substrate since the work will by protected by a mount and glass. Vibrant colours and fits in well with art I have already. Was a bit surprised when they arrived, as they were painted on heavy paper. Just means I will frame then differently. Definitely someone I will keep looking at in future.

Hi Thank you so much for your positive review. I appreciate it. I hope you enjoy your paintings. Although the base may appear to be heavy paper it is actually classed as A4 card. In fact the original card was thinner than this so I did stick an extra sheet to the back of each painting. The works are meant to be mounted and framed in any case so it should not matter unless you had in mind to display them unframed. Thanks again best wishes Tim

Thank you for your feedback Derek. I am pleased you like the painting. Back Road West is my favorite street in St Ives. I was there a few days ago and although St Ives is very crowded along the sea fronts this time of year it is always peaceful and relaxing away from the crowds here. regards Tim

I unfortunately bent one of the paintings unwrapping the packaging as it was so well wrapped, but the paintings are exactly as advertised. All dealings with Tim were prompt and professional.

I hope the painting wasn't creased? I have found that if one of my works on card gets a crease in it you can usually solve the problem by pressing down quickly with a hot iron on the back of the painting where the crease it. I hope you enjoy the paintings and thank you for the feedback. regards Tim

Our painting has just arrived. Initially I was a bit disappointed as it is darker than the image seen on line. I have already taken it to the picture framers, The Royal Gallery, Chislehurst, & in consultation with the helpful young man there I have chosen a glossy white frame, very glossy & plain, which hides the black border & has transformed the painting. So overall things have turned out well & I believe our friend will be pleased with the picture. When it is returned to me in a fortnight's time I will post an image of the completed work.

I am pleased you have solved the problem with an appropriate frame for the painting. I have noticed a few of my works do look a little lighter or more vivid when displayed on Artfinder than they do in reality. I have not manipulated the photos I take of the paintings in any way prior to uploading them to the Artfinder website so I am not sure why this happens.
