Artist's description:

In his work, the artist refers to the classics of the European still life of the 17th and 18th centuries, and according to the style features of the artistic language, he can be called an inspired follower of the Dutch still life, which attracts, first of all, his artistic expressiveness, completeness, ability to reveal the spiritual life of the objective world.

In the still-life, mainly side lighting is used, which allows to effectively model the volume and texture of objects. The still life is more inspired by the ideas of Romanticism than realism. Surprisingly, the dishes, fruits, velvety surface of the drapery, and the folds of the tablecloth on the table acquire significance, monumentality, decorativeness in still life, and do not seem naturalistic.
