I like history, it fascinates me to get to know how people lived long ago. I imagine that it is more peaceful than in today's hurried and hectic times.
The painting Meet in the old town is also a kind of my fantasy trip to the past, to a medieval city that plunged into the darkness of night. Everywhere desolation, silence, darkness interspersed with the weak rays of the moon.
All the people are already sleeping, only two lovers are still romantically saying goodbye to wish each other a good and peaceful night...
