Original artwork description:

A hugging couple. A work carried out in earth with a cooking with the smoke.
To achieve this work, the artist first models the earth to give shape to the sculpture, then it is polished and is baked for the first time in the oven at 1000 °. The sculpture is then buried in an oven filled with wood chips. This step is called smoking the room. The sole purpose of this step is to obtain surface effects. It gives the sculpture this dark color and its metallic reflections more or less present depending on the exposure of the oxides to the heat of the flames.
