Jake Chapman writes as often as he sculpts. He has published four satirical novels alongside a solo art practice that continues the same interest in Goya, cruelty and dark comedy he once shared with his brother Dinos.
Since the Chapman brothers ended their joint career in 2022, Jake has exhibited solo, including a show titled Me, Myself and Eye. His work spans watercolour, sculpture and etching, often returning to the same 1937 reprint of Goya's Disasters of War that defined his earlier collaborative practice. He has also directed a film based on his own writing.
