I'm Margo Pestriakova and I create abstract paintings meant to be lived with. I trained as an architect before spending nearly a decade as a 3D artist. That background continues to shape the way I think about space, balance, and composition.

In my work, I'm interested in exploring our relationship with the natural world — particularly animal welfare and animal rights, environmental change, conservation, and the impact of human activity on other species and their habitats. Rather than illustrating these subjects directly, I use abstraction as a way to approach them through atmosphere, tension, and association.

I believe the artist steps aside when a painting is finished. From that moment on, it belongs to the viewer. Each viewer brings their own memories, emotions, and experiences, allowing the work to become part of the atmosphere around it.
