Bathing (2023) Original Oil Painting by Ilya Filatov

The fusion of a horse and a human in water creates a complex and multifaceted narrative, inviting reflection on humanity's relationship with nature and the blurred boundaries between them. A cinematic still: a red horse in chlorinated water symbolizes life and energy struggling against an unnatural environment. It stands as a symbol of nature's resistance to human intervention, while also showcasing its remarkable adaptability. The dynamic movement of water, flowing in all directions, seems to possess a life of its own, embodying the infinite possibilities and unpredictability of nature.
