Invest in art: Part 2

Invest in art: Part 2

This is part 2 of the Invest in art series. Read part 1 of the series here.

Investment value is something widely dreamt up within the art world. But not at Artfinder. This weekend we spotlight ten artists whose average sales prices have increased in the last year. If you're looking for investment, then these are your artists to shop.

Kev Munday: 55% value increase

Declared by The Telegraph as one of five 'British Artists To Invest In', Kev's artwork has been commissioned by big names such as Disney, Uni-Ball and ahem, Artfinder. His quirky, street-style characters are uber-trendy, but appeal to all ages. With an average price increase of 55%, Kev is one to watch.

Anna Sidi-Yacoub: 55% value increase

Anna's metallic abstract sculptures and resin paintings have propelled her to Artfinder bestseller status. Using fully recyclable materials, Anna's sculptural statement pieces have been bought by collectors in the UK, US, Singapore and Australia. Since joining Artfinder in 2013, Anna's average value has consistently rose year-on-year.

Cecilia Frigati: 94% value increase

A graduate from Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, Cecilia's art has seen the most dramatic average sales price increase of all ten artists featured this weekend. Her landscapes range from broody and emotive pieces to warming and enchanting scenes. A highly accessible artist with great investment potential.

Eva Fialka: 50% value increase

Seen those funky portraits of animals with clothes on around Artfinder recently? That's Eva. Instantly recognisable, Eva's style is completely unique and undeniably appealing. And, with her average sales price rising by 50% in the last year, many people agree.

Roma Mountjoy: 51% value increase

Love a Cornish landscape? Roma's impressionist paintings are a sentimental reflection of the English seaside. While her artworks begin at highly affordable prices, her average has risen 69% within the last year, the second highest percentage jump featured this weekend.

Value increase calculated based on Artfinder average sale price price increase between 2018 and 2017. Read part 1 of the series here.
