About Veronika Obushikhina

  • Biography

I am a contemporary artist working in minimalist abstraction.
At the core of my practice are inner human states — moments when things are difficult inside, yet clarity, composure, and a sense of inner support remain important.

I work with minimalism as a language of focus. By removing everything unnecessary, I leave only what truly matters — space, pauses, and precise visual accents. This approach allows me to concentrate not on narrative or emotion, but on the state the work conveys.

My paintings engage with different inner states — from silence and pause to composure and transition. The intensity may change, but the underlying direction remains the same: a search for inner balance and resilience during challenging periods of life.

Beauty and aesthetic precision are essential to my work. I approach each painting as a unified visual statement, where every color and every line matters. For me, aesthetics is not decoration, but a way to make inner experience clear and tangible.

My works resonate with people who value in art a balance between aesthetic presence and inner meaning.
