About Ulla Kutter
Biography
Based in Hamburg, Germany Ulla Kutter makes atmospheric realistic oil paintings.
After two semesters studying at art college she changed her education and has since been working in the social field. Today she works partly as a painter, partly as a social worker.
She has painted her whole life I using various remedies and since 2004 she paint with oil paint on canvases and wood.
The perception of Ulla Kutter’s environment is shaped by the focus on disharmonic compositions and their aesthetics. She portrays the broken, chaotic and shining aspects of everyday life in the city. Through her images, she creates possibilities for different levels of perception. She paints using the traditional techniques of old Dutch masters, to paint modern motifs
