Tanna Valery has followed an unconventional artistic path defined by passion, discipline, and creativity. Of Siberian origin, French by adoption and trained as an architect, she redirected her life toward painting, driven by an enduring desire to fully commit to artistic
expression. Tanna studied at The State Academy of Architecture and Fine Arts in Siberia and later at The National Architecture High School of Strasbourg. Her twelve years in
France deeply shaped her artistic vision, transforming her passion for painting into
a vocation. Her work reflects the interplay between architectural discipline and the
expressive spontaneity of painting. Influenced by her academic training and
extensive travels, her art is imbued with emotional depth and a relentless quest
for authenticity. By incorporating watercolor effects created with acrylics,
blending drips and transparencies, she enhances geometric compositions with
subtle nuances. This fusion creates a harmonious dialogue between structure
and fluidity, where architectural principles merge naturally into her
canvases. A pivotal moment in Tanna’s journey came when she secured a studio at The
Fondation des Artistes in Nogent-sur-Marne. This space provided her with the freedom to experiment and evolve, enabling her to push creative boundaries. Here, she began producing larger works that explore complex themes, further establishing her unique
artistic identity. Today, Tanna invites viewers to step into a world where space, time, and emotions converge. Her creations celebrate the strength and beauty of everyday
moments, achieving a delicate balance between precision and freedom.
