Biography
Tamara Andjus (b. 1982) is a professional artist based in Zurich, Switzerland. Andjus has exhibited extensively across the globe, including in New York, Paris, London, Barcelona, Rome, Dubai, Zurich, and many other major cities. Her art has been published numerous times, and her long list of awards and recognitions has firmly established her place in the contemporary art world. She is represented by several galleries, most notably Fame Gallery in Zurich and Gallery Steiner in Vienna.
Her works, best known for their abstract figurative style, are characterized by dynamic brushstrokes, vibrant color palettes, and a multi-layered approach to painting. Working primarily with acrylics and oils on canvas, she captures animals, landscapes, and people with emotional intensity, evoking both atmosphere and imagination. Each piece invites the viewer into a world of movement, mood, and open interpretation.
Beyond her studio practice, she plays a significant role in promoting the work of other artists. She has curated and organized exhibitions internationally, offering opportunities for artists who wish to showcase their work in Switzerland. Dedicated to fostering creativity at all levels, she has also worked with children in schools, introducing them to artistic techniques and encouraging their first steps into the art world. Having won her very first art award at just four years old, Andjus understands the importance of nurturing young creativity from the earliest age.
Her generosity extends into humanitarian work as well: she has participated in numerous charitable initiatives, donating artworks to raise funds, supporting organizations, and contributing to her local church. These efforts reflect her belief in the power of art to inspire, connect, and help those in need.
In addition to her exhibitions and projects, Tamara Andjus also accepts commissions, creating personalized works that bring collectors’ visions to life.
