About Pawel Szanajca-Kossakowski

  • Biography
I'm a fifth-generation artist—my ancestors were painters and photographers. I began my artistic path as a rock musician, then free jazz. For me, painting is a way to explore musical frequencies in the color space. I explore the tension between structure and freedom, carrying forward the radical legacy of constructivism into a contemporary, experimental language. My canvases are not depictions but constructions, where form, color, and rhythm are built like architecture for the eye. Inspired by the avant-garde belief in art as an active force, I seek to dissolve boundaries between painting, space, and thought. Each work is both homage and challenge—a continuation of tradition that insists on constant reinvention.
