About Svitlana Gunchenko
Biography
In my studio in Kyiv I am looking for atmospheric effects of light between the noise of the city and the calm forest. I have long been inspired by the diverse, fleeting states of nature, and I strive to explore the relationship between static artificial forms and the unpredictability of natural phenomena and states. My passion for landscape painting allows me to improve the transmission of rapidly changing light, I am fascinated by such nuances as the first changes of the morning sun, the last glare of the setting sun, a thick layer of white-pink fog that completely melts.
