  • Biography

Jesus Sulbaran is a Venezuelan-born visual artist based in Balneário Camboriú, Brazil. His work explores the intersection between symbolic imagery and contemporary realism, combining refined technique with emotional depth and social reflection.

After years performing as a professional clown, Sulbaran returned to painting through the Circus series (2020–2024), where he transforms his experience in performance art into a poetic and pictorial language. His paintings often depict acrobats, masked figures and suspended bodies, blending movement, vulnerability and silence.

Working mainly with oil on canvas, he also develops plein air works and large-scale murals that connect artistic gesture with public space. Sulbaran’s practice balances discipline and improvisation, capturing the fragile beauty of the human condition with sincerity and technical mastery.

His works are held in private collections in Brazil and abroad.
