Biography
Silvia Frei is an award winning german Portrait Artist. Her work has been published in many books and newspapers in the USA and her works were exhibited in galleries in Germany and the UK. In 2011 she started to work as a freelanced portrait artist and since 2016 she's working in her own studio based in southern Germany near the Lake of Konstanz.
Her main subjects for drawing are animals. She's mostly doing portrait commissions of pets and wildlife art. Her great passion are wild animals and wildlife conservation. Her drawings are very expressive, life-like and highly detailed. For her highly detailed, expressive portraits she uses pastels, coloured pencils, charcoal and graphite.
