As soon as I saw this on Artfinder, I was drawn to the very distinct mood it creates. I live in London and Big Ben is a familiar sight to me. It's good to be reminded how evocative a building it is and how London is such a strange mixture of the old and the new. Stylistically, I am reminded of Munch's 'The Scream'.

The painting was well packaged against normal shipping hazards of bending and water damage. But in transit, someone had stabbed it in two places making holes through both the packaging and the painting. Perhaps the painting should have been in a wooden box.

The paintings were gorgeous, and they remind me of all my favorite places in a neaby woods where my dog and I go walking. They arrived looking exactly as they appear on the website, and the only surprise was how quickly they arrived at my door.
